Welcome to Veteran Disability Exams!

Our 100% service-connected examiner, Dr. Rice, has 17+ years of experience in urgent care and primary care and three years as a VA disability and compensation examiner. Dr. Rice knows what the VA is looking for in an exam, which is why we use the same exam template as the VA. We cover two medical conditions, not one, in our Nexus letters and disability and compensation exams. There’s no rushing you! Our exams are up to three hours long.

Check out our “services” page for a complete list of what we offer.

Please bring a copy of your DD214 and all medical records to our office after you book your appointment. We need to read your records to prepare for your appointment. This includes medical records from your service. It also includes your exit exam results. We will also need current medical records, such as any MRIs, CT scans, x-rays, PT notes, OT notes, surgery notes, and ultrasounds of the medical condition(s) you are claiming. We do not need the film(s) themselves, just the report(s). Finally, we need notes on the last six appointments you’ve had with a provider who is treating a service-related condition. These notes must be in chronological order when they’re brought into the office for our review. Please bring a copy we can keep. We cannot accept records that are not in chronological order.

Doctor offices will sometimes charge for records. If you sign a record release at our office, we can get the records sent over for free. We can’t get your service records, however.

Per VA guidelines, we cannot perform exams for mental health conditions, such as PTSD.

We can perform disability exams through the virtual appointment platform Zoom for some medical conditions. Call us or email us if you are unsure if you need to be seen in person before booking an appointment.

We accept PayPal, MasterCard, and Visa. You will be taken to a page to pay after you choose a day and time for your appointment.

Payment plans are available for Nexus letters and Disability and Compensation Exam only, NOT for a record review. Call the office to set up a payment plan. A payment plan must be signed BEFORE we physically meet to conduct an exam or before we start writing the letter.

You must purchase a record review first. We have to review your medical records before we know whether we can help you and write you a Nexus letter.
