Payment plans are available for Nexus letters and Disability and Compensation Exam only, NOT for a record review. Call the office to set up a payment plan. A payment plan must be signed BEFORE we physically meet to conduct an exam or before we start writing the letter.

What to expect from our complete package- a record review, exam, and Nexus letter:

Part One: After you book your appointment, we will need you to come to the office to fill out four forms. We can get your records from your current doctors at no cost to you if you fill out a record request form at our office. We will then conduct a thorough review of your records. This includes records from your time in the service and records since your separation, such as doctor appointments, surgery summaries, PT visits, OT visits, Ultrasound, MRI’s, x-rays, etc. WE DO NOT NEED THE FILMS OF COMPLETED TESTS, JUST THE REPORTS. We will let you know if any documentation is missing before your disability and compensation exam. Paperwork must be in chronological order from the earliest to the latest, and give us a copy we can keep. We will not accept paperwork that is not in chronological order. You can come to our office on the day of your appointment to receive our medical judgment on the strength of your case, or Dr. Rice can do a zoom appointment.

Part two: a comprehensive exam that lasts up to three hours. Dr. Rice handles no more than two conditions at a time.

Part three: A report that ties all of the four key elements to proving your case:

  • Outlining the doctor’s credentials

  • Proving that the condition exists currently and showing how it negatively impacts your life.

  • Stating the probability of the condition being service-connected.

  • Explaining the rationale of the medical opinion
